Balmorhea State Park is always one of our favorite spots....right at the edge of the foothills going down to Ft. Davis, Balmorhea State Park is the home of a warm water spring that was made into a HUGE swimming pool back in the 1930's by the WPA. The pool has gorgeous stonework with the buildings, cabins and a RV camp all in the limestone rock famous in the Texas hill country. The water in the spring is warm all year and is over 30 feet deep.
